Euphorbia Horrida
A cactiform euphorbia succulent. The small, red spines formed along the crown and ridges are larger but less sharp than those of a traditional cactus. This plant grows columnar, steadily establishing offsets at its base. In summer it blooms tiny yellow-green flowers. Found in South Africa. Available in 1 size. Plant shown is in 4 in. pot and roughly 6-7 in. tall.
Caution: This plant contains a white, milky sap that is poisonous. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not ingest. Wear appropriate gloves when handling. If sap gets on skin, wash hands immediately and thoroughly.
Care:
Diffused/indirect lighting to full sun
Water once a week in spring and summer
Keep dry in winter; or if kept indoors and heating system is used water once a month
Allow soil to dry between waterings
Well-draining soil; cactus/succulent mix
