This is a spineless prickly-pear cactus that is native to Mexico and the American Southwest. Can grow several inches a year, paddles are one average of 7-10 inches tall. In many regions, this cactus can be eaten, as the smaller pups are better to ingest and the the fruit it bears is known as Tuna.

Care

• Water once every 1-2 weeks; allow soil to dry between waterings

• Porous soil for drainage

• Can take full sun outside; provide bright light indoors

• Low maintenance plant
