A perennial, geophytic plant featuring a tuberose caudex and green, slightly undulating branches. The caudex acts as a food and water-storage organ, making it a particularly drought-friendly plant. Blooms small, yellow-green flowers along its spines during spring and summer months. Found in the rocky habitats of the Eastern Cape in South Africa. Plant shown is in 4 in. pot and roughly 6 in. in height.

Care:

• Partial shade to full sun

• Water once a week in summer months

• Water sparingly in winter months; in colder regions its best to keep the plant dry

• Never let the roots sit too long in wet soil

• Protect from cold nights and frost
